While it's true that we have a BLAST at GIA, we also dig in deep to learn more about our chosen artistic mediums. All students have 2 art classes each day, both of which are 2 hours long. Everyone also attends morning chorus with Ron Kelly, and the Artist Series in the evening. It's a lot of work, but it's worth it!
In the photo above, Molly Greene explains the basics of print-making. In this class, students are learning how to how to properly work a panel of wood with various implements, and how to test tools for proper sharpness. Below, Ron Kelly teaches a new song to the bass section of the chorus. At the bottom, students play a game of "Musical Portraits" in Experimental Drawing.
