Last night Michael Bodel performed a section of his piece "There Are Caves and Attics" as part of our Evening Artist Series. When we entered the theater we were ushered onto the stage to sit on either side of his marked out performance area. It was exciting to be so close to the action and feel as if we were an integral part of the space.
After the performance, Michael sat down and did a Q&A session. It was a wonderful opportunity to hear about his process and how his piece has evolved over the past few years as well as how it is still evolving. This discussion was followed by an interactive game of deciphering abstract vs concrete. We packed in ten years of stimulating Foucault theories into 30 minutes of interactive amazingness which had everyone whirring about different philosophies all the way up until bedtime!
