Any Vermont 9th-12th grader can join in for a fun and intensive Winter Weekend – two hands-on, residential academic/creative weekends in February. At Winter Weekend you live with a group of high schoolers on a college campus, make new friends, complete a mentored, in-depth study challenge in the topic you choose, and gain exciting new skills and ideas. It’s the perfect way to try out a Governor’s Institute and jump into something new!
For 2016, you have ten exciting courses to choose from. Try Astrophotography, Biomedical Research, or Cybersecurity. Bring your business idea to Entrepreneurship or your point of view to Debate and National Issues or the Global Issues Dialogue. Take a masterclass in Singing, Acting or Writing. Or if you’re a math fan, check out our Advanced Math course designed especially to unite girls who like math.
