TUESDAY, JULY 4 - 10:15am
Our Fourth of July Samba Parade!
Main Street, Castleton
Our entire community puts on a parade for the town of Castleton, right down the Main Street, filled with giant puppets, samba music, and surprises! You are welcome to come cheer us on as we parade by, and then we'll be on to our next special activity, so make sure to wave and shout extra loud so your student can see that you’re there! The town festivities carry on after we leave, so feel free to stick around Main Street to catch some more fun! Arrive by 10:00am to park and find a spot near the store & diner to watch.
FINAL DAY: Sunday, July 9, 2017: 12:00pm - 3:00pm
Please arrive between 11:30am and noon
Castleton University Fine Arts Center
(not the dorms)
Parking available in lot near Fine Arts Center
Our Final Day! Please join us for the afternoon as we show off our processes and some of our products. You’ll get a chance to see what your student has been working on, as well as a greater understanding of how all of the different art forms work together! We will be done by 3:00pm. Students will already have packed up their things in the morning, so you’ll be able to grab the luggage and go after our program ends. It is extremely important to us that all students stay to the end to complete the experience. We know that many of you have a long way to go on that day, and we appreciate your understanding, and support of our community.
From the mother of a student:
GIA was an amazing experience for Makayla and I would recommend it to every teenager out there. Makayla went outside her comfort zone with her art, created new friendships and found who she really is not only as a young artist but as a young woman.
