I was born and raised in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom (West Glover to be more specific), and although I haven’t spent much time in VT over the past few years, I am always psyched to return home.  This will be my second year as an RA, my last appearance being at the 2008 institute.  I recently graduated from The University of Rhode Island where I studied Political Science and Philosophy, and in a few months I’ll be moving on to my next educational endeavor at New York University, where I’ll be starting law school.  Although art is not my profession or my typical summer undertaking (I spent last summer in DC working for the Senate Judiciary Committee), it is and always will be an integral part of my life.  I am a firm believer in finding art in everything we do, whether it be a painting, a musical, or a 30-page stock-option contract.  In short, I love circus tricks, being a dork, and house music, and I am super excited to welcome a new crop of students into the GIA family.
